Information on RSS Feeds

RSS feeds are a great way to receive information on topics you are interested in. More importantly they are free and you do not need to supply an email address or other private information to receive an RSS feed. Australiana Online has an RSS feed to keep you up to date on new products, promotions and other news from us. If you are interested in our new products and other news have a read of our RSS feed. To do this you will need an RSS feed reader (sometimes known as an RSS aggregator). Some web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox v2.0 have an RSS feed reader built into them, as does Microsoft Outlook 2007. If your web browser or email software doesn't have RSS feed reader functionality you will need to download a feed reader off the internet. There are many feed readers available and some are available as a free download. Different feed readers will have different features and computer requirements so be sure to choose one that suits you.

Install and configure your RSS feed reader and select the intervals at which you wish to receive updates (hourly, daily, etc). Many feed readers come with feeds pre-installed. You can delete/remove these pre-installed feeds if they are of no interest to you. Once your RSS feed reader is installed subscribe to or add the Australiana Online RSS feed by clicking on the orange RSS icon on the Australiana Online website and select "subscribe to this feed", "copy shortcut" or "copy link location".

Whenever we add some new products to our catalogue, or 'out of stock' products are received back into stock, or have a promotion or sale we will generate an RSS feed. The feed will usually be only a sentence or two to alert you to visit our website for more information if you are interested. You will receive the feed automatically if you have subscribed to our RSS feed.

If your computer has an RSS feed reader installed subscribe to the Australiana Online RSS feed now to see how it works and stay up to date with what's new at Australiana Online Australiana Online RSS feed
