If you are using a password from our old website it will not work here. This is because we do not know your password and therefore could not transfer it over to this new website. Are All Your Products Australian Made?
How Do I Browse The Products For Sale?
Select a category of product you would like to browse from the Categories menu on the left of the screen by moving your mouse to the category and clicking. Use the scroll bar located on the right side of the screen to see the products listed up and down the page. If you are interested in a product click on the product photo or 'More Info' button to see a larger picture and more information about the product. You can add the item to your shopping cart and continue browsing just by selecting a product category from the left side of the screen.

How Do I Purchase A Product That I Like?
Purchasing our Australian gifts and souvenirs is easy. Choose the product you want and add it to your shopping cart by pressing the 'Buy Now' or 'Add to Cart' button (you are not committed to purchasing the product by adding it to your cart - you can always remove the product before proceeding to the checkout if you change your mind). You can then continue shopping and add other products to your cart, or if you have finished shopping proceed to the checkout by selecting the button at the top right hand corner of the page. You can pay for your chosen products by credit card online via our secure server, deposit/transfer the money into our bank account, telephone us with your credit card details, or print out the Order Form and mail the form (with a cheque) to us.
Is The Item I Want Available Now (in Stock) Or Do You Have To Order It In?
All of the items displayed on the website are available now. Obviously we only have one each of the original artwork - paintings & handcrafted jewellery. With the other items on the website we may only have one or two in stock or dozens in stock depending on demand and when we last placed an order with the supplier. If you require multiple items and we do not have enough available send us an email and we will order more in for you if we can. If you are ordering a larger than usual quantity, for a company function for example, we can order additional items in to meet your requirements. When we do run out of an item we remove it from the website until we have received new supplies, so always check the website later as the item you are looking for might be back on the website (or you can always email us for information).
What Is A Shopping Cart?
Just imagine you are at your local supermarket shopping for food. You browse the shelves along the aisles placing items in your basket or trolley as you go. Well the shopping cart here is just the same. As you browse the products at Australiana Online you can put them in your shopping cart (and you can take them out as well). You can see the contents of your shopping cart at any time by selecting the button at the top of the page. When you have all the items you want you then proceed to the checkout just like you would at your local supermarket.
How Do I Add Items To My Shopping Cart?
If you would like to purchase the product click on the 'Buy Now' or 'Add to Cart' button. If you want more than one of the same product change the quantity number in the 'Quantity' box (under the price) before you click the 'Add to Cart' button.
To see the contents of your shopping cart select the button at the top of the page. The 'Shopping Cart ' page lists the items you have in your cart to purchase. From the 'Shopping Cart' page you can change the quantity of an item, remove an item from your shopping cart, obtain an estimate of the shipping cost, continue shopping or you can finalise your purchase by clicking the 'Proceed to Checkout' button. If you change the quantity of an item in your shopping cart press the 'Update Quantity' button on the left side of the screen (under the photos of the items in your cart) to display the correct amount you will be charged for the items.
Why Won't The Item I Want Add To My Shopping Cart?
If an item you wish to purchase will not go into your shopping cart the item is probably out of stock i.e. we have sold out of that item and are waiting for more to arrive or you have arrived at an old webpage via a search engine. However some items such as the original paintings and other art will never be replaced, once they are sold they are gone!
If your web browser does not enable cookies you might have a problem using the shopping cart. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer to store information about your current visit to our website. Our shopping cart uses temporary cookies to remember the items you have placed in your shopping cart as you browse our catalogue of products - if there was no cookie your computer would not remember the different items selected when you go to the checkout. When you close your web browser our temporary cookies are removed, as they are no longer needed. If you don't want to "enable cookies" some of the newer web browsers allow you to give permission or allow a particular website - make sure the Australiana Online website is one of the sites you have "allowed".
I Thought Prices Would Be Less for Overseas Orders?
All prices displayed include the Australian Goods and Services Tax. Goods purchased and delivered to an Australian address are subject to a 10% tax called the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Goods purchased and delivered to an overseas address are not subject to the 10% GST. The 10% Goods and Services Tax will be excluded from prices at the time of checkout where an overseas delivery address is provided. So our prices are less for orders delivered overseas - they are (GST) tax free! .
What Happens When I Proceed To Checkout?
If you have finished selecting the items you wish to buy view the contents of your shopping cart by selecting the button at the top of the page. When you are ready to purchase the products go to the payment (checkout) screen by selecting the 'Proceed To Checkout' button at the bottom of the 'Shopping Cart' screen. At the checkout screen you can checkout as a Guest where no login or password is required, or you can checkout as a Returning Customer and enter your email address and password and your billing address and your delivery address will be entered automatically. Enter your billing and shipping details or click on the 'Bill & Ship to This Address' Button if you are a Returning Customer. Select the Shipping Method and click 'Continue' and check the order details and your payment method on the Order Confirmation screen.You also can decide to receive our Newsletter or not by checking the 'I'd like to receive your newsletter' box. Then click the 'Continue' in the bottom left corner of the screen. Your purchase will be processed and the items shipped as soon as possible.
Do I Need To Register?
How Much Will The Shipping/Delivery Cost Be?
The website needs to know two bits of information to determine the shipping cost. Firstly we need to know what you are purchasing (so we can determine size and weight) and secondly we need to know where the items are to be delivered (down the road or on the other side of the world). Once you have selected the item/s to purchase select the button at the top of the web page, have a look at the items in your shopping cart then click on the 'Estimate Shipping & Tax' link. Enter your country, state and postcode in the boxes and select the 'Estimate Shipping & Tax' button to obtain an estimate of the shipping costs. If your country does not use post codes enter '0000'.
For deliveries to Australian addresses by regular mail the shipping charge is capped at $12.95 - so fill up your shopping cart as the extra items will not add to the cost of shipping! Spend $80 or more and select 'Free Shipping' and we will deliver your order within Australia for free!

Will I Receive A Receipt When I Make A Purchase?
When you complete your purchase you will automatically be sent an email with the details of your order. This will have on it an Order Id, and a link to click on to see the Status of your order. It will also have details of your shipping address, your billing address, payment method, and products ordered and cost - including shipping charge. If you need to contact us about your purchase please refer to the Order Id that appears at the top of your Order email. If paying by credit card your purchase will be listed on your credit card statement as 'Australiana Online Pty Ltd' in the transaction details.
I Need A Tax Invoice - How Do I Obtain One?
As many of our items are purchased as gifts we do not include payment details with the item when shipping. In most cases customers are happy to receive the Order Details contained in the email that is emailed at the time of purchase and see the purchase listed on their credit card statement. However, if you are a business customer you may require a Tax Invoice for taxation purposes. You can obtain a Tax Invoice by including a message such as 'Tax Invoice required' in the additional information box or alternately, send us an email and we will send you a Tax Invoice in the required format.
Is Shopping Online Secure?
Shopping at Australiana Online is as secure as we can make it. When providing your payment details notice the padlock in the status bar (lower right hand corner) on your web browser or the "s" added to the "http" in the web address line on your browser when you are on the checkout pages, these are an indication you are dealing with a secure site that has a digital certificate. Your web browser will confirm the digital certificate and will then encrypt all communications with our website using the cryptographic key in the certificate. Your credit card and personal details are encrypted using the latest industry standard SSL 128 bit encryption technology before being transmitted to a secure server for processing.
If you are not comfortable sending your credit card details via the internet you can transfer the purchase amount in Australian Dollars directly into our bank account by selecting 'Direct Deposit' as your method of payment, or select 'Credit Card Over The Telephone' as your payment method, or you can send us a cheque (drawn on an Australian bank only, made payable to Australiana Online) in Australian Dollars with a copy of your order.
What Forms Of Payment Do You Accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express, and JCB Card for orders placed online, by telephone, or by mail. Overseas customers will have their credit card purchases charged in Australian Dollars then it will be converted into local currency by the credit card provider. If you have a PayPal account you can make your payment using PayPal. We also accept from Australian residents direct deposit of Australian Dollars into our bank account or cheques drawn on Australian Banks - however your order will not be processed until the the direct deposit or cheque has been cleared by the bank. We can only accept cheques made out in Australian Dollars.

When Will You Send My Goods?
Depending on the time your order is received Australiana Online will endeavour to ship your goods the same or next working day. However, despite our best endeavours sometimes things do not go to plan - if for some reason we cannot ship your goods within 3 working days we will contact you. I Want To Purchase A DVD But I Don't Know Which Format - PAL Or NTSC, To Buy?
PAL is the standard video/DVD format for Australia, Europe, Middle East, South Africa, and much of Asia excluding Japan, South Korea, Philipines, and Taiwan. NTSC is the standard video/DVD format for the USA, Canada, South America, Japan, South Korea, Philipines, and Taiwan. If you are still unsure have a look at a DVD cover you have at home, it will usually have the format - whether PAL or NTSC, printed on the rear of the cover often near the region code. New DVD players may play both PAL & NTSC formats but you must have a TV that also displays the correct (PAL or NTSC) format. Refer to your TVs user manual or send us an email stating which country the DVD is to be played in and we'll let you know whether PAL or NTSC is the correct format for you.
